The Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) allows us see detailed images of your retina and its distinctive layers, almost like an MRI of your eye. This leading piece of technology is the only one that gives us in-depth images of the eyes’ internal structures, making it instrumental in the early detection and management of eye disease. The good news is that you will feel no discomfort as the OCT never touches your eye and the scan is over in minutes.
Eye Testing & Treatment Technologies
We invest in leading diagnostic equipment and tools to aid us in monitoring your vision, in the detection of eye disease and in the treatment of Dry Eye. As many symptoms of eye disease can be invisible, these technologies allow us to detect any problems before any noticeable symptoms.
What is OCT Scanning?
What is Retinal Imaging?
Like the OCT scan, retinal imaging is non-invasive and is just like having a regular photo taken. It allows us to take pictures of the retina, optic nerve and blood vessels at the back of the eyes to assess the health of your eyes and assist in the early detection of eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes. We can then use this photography as a baseline of your eye health to help us detect any changes in your vision over time.
What is IPL Dry Eye Treatment?
Do you experience dry, gritty, burning, watery or persistently red eyes? Does your vision fluctuate? You may be suffering from Dry Eye Syndrome. We will assess the cause of your Dry Eye and recommend a treatment and management plan to help reduce the symptoms of Dry Eye. We are one of only a handful of practices in Melbourne that offer E-Eye IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) in the treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome where it is due to the Meibomian Glands Dysfunction (MDG). With IPL we apply 4 to 5 Intense Pulsed Light pulses to stimulate and unblock the Meibomian glands to help them return to their normal function.
We offer a wide range of eye care services, including:
